I’m not an interior designer, but as a female builder with a deep appreciation for beautiful, functional spaces, I’ve developed a good eye for details that elevate a home.

So I’m starting a little series to share some of my go-to picks for one of my favorite rooms to create: the kitchen!

Today, I’ll start with cabinetry. To me, cabinetry is the face of the kitchen. It's the first thing you notice when you walk in a home! It sets the tone, the mood, and the quality of everything that follows. The right cabinetry brings harmony, depth, and a sense of craftsmanship that you can feel every day.

What really makes cabinetry special isn’t just the finish or color, it’s the thought behind it. I love when every cabinet has a purpose: display cabinets that show off heirloom pieces, deep drawers that keep everyday essentials organized, and hidden storage that keeps the space clean and uncluttered. True craftsmanship means thinking about how a family actually lives in their kitchen. It takes into consideration how it functions from morning to night.

Personally, I’m drawn to designs that feel intentional and timeless. Whether it’s a statement range wall or a pantry that feels like a secret passage behind seamless doors, I believe the best cabinetry blends utility with quiet luxury. It should make life easier while adding beauty that lasts for generations.
